I like a slate. (Primos Power Crystal to be exact) I haven't gained the confidence with a mouth call yet, but like the convenience of being hands free. I may get The Freak for this spring if I don't get any beter with the mouth call. Do you have any suggestions on a good diaphram call for a rookie?

Gobbling Buck.Try an H.S. Strut double reed with no cuts on it.It is very easy to control and you don't need a lot of tongue pressure or air flow to make it work well.You can make any call on it ,even a coyote howl.I have had a coyote answer me before.That was pretty cool.

I love em all but a mouth call is the one I'll always use first.If i get no response then I'll switch to somethin else.So I guess a mouth call is my favorite.

Well considering that I gag with a mouth call, i'd have to say a slate then a box call... ...unless i'm with Bosstom...he's actually my best call!!!!!! Brampton Mike [8D]
