Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Poult killer....

During fall season this year my partner and I noticed a particular flock of birds we have been hunting for quite some time had suddenly changed there pattern. This particular flock of birds for as long as we can remember have always used this one ridge as a travel route between there feeding area and roosting area.We were somewhat baffled as to why the birds had changed because as far as we knew everything was exactly as it had been in the past, that was until fall season rang in and we were regularly seeing a marauding bobcat travel the same ridge. We saw this cat 7 or 8 times either on this ridge or coming from it and I couldn' t help to think that as juveniles and poults he had harrassed them pretty good!Anyway i told my dad, who is a nuisance animal control officer for Shasta and Tehama counties, about the situation and we came up with a game plan to attempt to call him in tonight and guess what!!No more bobcat harrassing the turks....at least on that ridge anyway!!
