I like to carry all different calls. As being a mouth call user, I have found that at times a slate will work over the mouth call and aswell Boxes can take a place in the turkey woods. The Mini Boat paddle from Quakerboy has a place in my vest on every trip to the woods. This call has brought Toms from far off places that one may not beable to tend. My vest at times is very heavy but I seem to toss the odd Turkey over the shoulder ...BT
I carry,
Box, lil hart breaker,Ol Yelper, water proof wizard
Slate, lil deuce,ol' cutinputt
mouth,I hate em.
But Thoose are my favs,
I have many calls tho I buy many a year Mom gets sick of hearing it,
I chose a smart girl friend, She hunts so she under stands( and can drive)
i can im a month tho,lol

Mouth calls is me!!I carry a # of them to the turkey woods usually only ending up using at tops 3 on a given hunt!I carry a # of friction calls usually to help in locating a bird but mostly to help add a little realism in backing up my mouth calls.I like to sound like more than one hen in alot of my set-ups!Besides being hands free diaphragms cover about every vocal range a turkey vocalizes, from high pitched, clear bell toned yelps to low gravelly gobbler yelps.

I to carry all kinds of calls. But my " go to call" and the one I use the most would be a friction call. Usally a slate over glass or a sla-tek Ol' Yeller.

Several different types of calls here too. Always prepared to try to sound like more than one hen in the area and try to find the call/sound that drives the toms crazy. Process of elimination.
