It was cold and snowin this mornin so I decided to stay in bed.Around 8:00 I went to pull a tree stand.I put my guns and calls in the truck just in case. While I was in the tree I could see turkey' s in the field.I finished pullin the stand went back to my truck and got my turkey stuff.I circled around and started callin, they were answerin and commin but hung up about 100 yds out.Only one thing left to do.I set down the gun and took off runnin and hollerin and got a good scatter.I went back, got my gun and set up at the scatter point. After about 15 min.I called and had 2 answer so I set up in the direction of the nearest one.Within about 3 min. she showed herself and boom it was over. She was a young hen and should be good eatin.
LMAO Hey Mike,Findin em was no problem but I sure did miss my (turkey dog Mikey)when I had to scatter em.It was an uphill run and you got younger legs lol
Way to go Jim!! I was bowhunting for deer all last week and seen two different gobblers from my treestands. I tried calling to them with my natural voice, but they were headed to parts unknown!! I would of taken the shot if it presented itself!!
