I was actually thinking of you guys on saturday morning as I listened to a hermit longbeard scratching acorns on a bench 60 yards behind me . I roosted the rascal Friday night and set up 75 yards below him on a cut cornfield. Wouldn' t you know he flapped down and fed on the same bench I saw him on the night before, ignoring my clucks. He did cluck back courteously before leaving the area.

Anyway, haha, congrats to you and your son! Glad to hear about his success on the deer too! I' m sure he' ll be an addict, just like his daddy!
