Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default baby turkeys

Yesterday 07/30/2017 I took my wife and son fishing on a local reservoir. We were on the boat a good way up a cove and heard a turkey hit the ground next to the waters edge (around 4 in the afternoon) immediately I could hear her yelping very softly so I figured she had little ones around. I could see around her legs fairly well even though she was a few feet from the waters edge in some brush but could not see the babies. After a minute or two I happen to glance back out in the water and there were 7-10 baby turkeys no more than 5 inches tall in single file swimming across the bay! From bank to bank where they crossed was just shy of 200 yards! I have never witnessed anything like that before and never would have guessed baby turkeys would cross such a large body of water. Just wanted to share.
I also thought they were pretty small for this time of year but that is the second bunch I have seen in the last week or so that were about that size.
