Default What' s the best seat for pop-up blinds?

For those of you who have hunted in blinds like the Ameristep Doghouse, what is your preference for a seat in a pop-up blind? I am considering buying a seat but don' t know for sure which to get. I would prefer something that swiveled and maybe had a back of some kind on it for support also. What do you use?

MTT,I' ve used 2 in the past. Here they are..

Here' s the other..

Obviously neither have a backrest but I like them because they do swivel and have very little obstacles such as arm rests to get hung up on.The tripod is much easier to pack and move around but the cooler comes in really handy for those warm days in storing something cool to drink because it can occasionally be warm in a blind..Hope it helps..Bob

I have a Doghouse, and if there was one thing I' d note about seating in it, it is that I think you need a somewhat shorter than normal seat for the Doghouse for the windows to be effective/useful. I tote one of those fold-up canvas chairs with armrests and back, but then I have to " hunker down" to see out the windows well, and I' m not particularly tall. I also think that a swivel seat and a back rest would be an absolute must. Let me know if you find one that has short legs, a swivel seat, a back rest, and is collapsible and lightweight.

Well, I finally ordered a seat to use in my blind. It is an Ameristep Archer' s Chair. I got it from www.natchezss.com. It was on sale for $19.99. It doesn' t swivel but it does have a back on it and no arms which I think is important because of the need to turn left or right and be able to shoot out the side windows without getting hung up on the chair arms. I' ve used it once already and it' s pretty comfy although it' s not the most compact thing in the world. It doesn' t break completely down like the umbrella type camp chairs, it folds up much like a web style lawn chair. All in all, I' m satisfied with it. Check it out on www.ameristep.com if you' re looking for a good seat for your blind.
