Finding the flock, busting the flock, call in the flock, what the flock else is there?
I' m kidding of course....scouting sure plays a big part of it. Knowing the property, knowing where your birds are surely helps...that' s the biggest part of the battle...once you find them and run at them like a mad man.....which is the easy part
then sitting back and listening to all the vocalizations...it' s incredible.
Food sources like old grape vanes, cut corn fields, oak flats....are excellent places to start looking, especially in our areas.
