Default broad question about turkeys , and slams

how many turkey species do we have in the u.s. and canada ???
and what types of slams are there in turkey hunting

Well lets see,, Canada has a couple different ones Eastern,Merriams and the US has 5 as far as I know, Eastern, Merriams, Rio Grande, Oceola and now has the Goulds started in AZ I believe.

Slams, come in different ways and its more on how the hunter can afford/do it. There is GrandSlams that are 4 Sub' s, RoyalSlams that are 5 sub' s,WorldSlams that are 6 with the jungle Oselated or jungle chicken . Some do it in the " Same year Slam" and others just complete there slam in a number of years. There is no rule in the NWTF that says it has to be done in the same year. Hope this helps ya...BT
