Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Burris Speed Bead??

Any users on here? I've thought about getting one for a couple years but hate the thought of shelling out the dough and not liking it.

Any thoughts?

Looks similar to the EOTech sight. I have that and it works great. Looks like the speed bead is about a $100 less. I haven't used it though. I only have the EOTech because it was my brothers and was on his SWAT weapon.

I have one and like it. Most optics for turkey hunting mount too high above the plane of the barrel for my taste. The speed bead is very low and allows you to sight down your barrel virtually as you would if there was nothing on it at all. The red dot is easily adjusted. Because of it's design it doesn't block any of your view either. The gun I have mine on is a very dedicated turkey rig but I'd love to also have one on a bird gun as I think it would be great for wing shooting as well.

The only concern I would have with the SpeedBead and turkey loads is eye relief. You might want to consider the FastFire II. It is basically the same product but instead of mounting between the stock and receiver, it mounts on a Weaver rail on top. This gives you much more eye relief with heavy-recoiling magnum ammo.
