Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Quakerboy slate call ???

I have a older Quakerboy Walnut Master Series Slate that came in a sorta fleece pouch that has a gobblers head on it... The pouch has a hole in it to hold the striker... I've have the call for about 8 years, not to sure how old it is...

Does anybody know if it might be worth anything???

Does it have a Cody-style pot with round holes or are the edges more rounded with elongated sound ports?

Well I went down to look at it and it has round holes and the pot does remind me of a cody style other than it may be a little smaller in diamiter than a Cody...

I think it had 5 holes, one in the middle and 4 others like north, south, east and west...

The strike that came with it was a carbon striker with a dark walnut head on it...

The pouch is just a fleece pouch that has a small velcro closer with a small hole in it that the striker slides into for storage...

I think I payed like 10 bucks for it off ebay a few years ago...

Thanks for the help...

Thats definitely the older model, I have one of the newer ones that I bought in '04 or so. Ernie Calendrelli said thats his go-to call in an article in T&TH a while back.

I have no idea what it might be worth, it Adrian is lurking around he can probably give us some more info.

Hi Guys My Name is Adrian

Longbeard it sounds like you have the old style pot, but to my knowledge it is not worth a large amount yet. Give it a few years i would say.

The pouch is a seperate item and that pot did not come with that call. It was sold as it's own. As far as I'm concerned they were the best sounding slate Quaker Boy had to offer in the master series...

Here's a pic of a couple different Masters - Is it the one on the wall ?
