Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Wisconsin Turkey

Just wondering how everyone else is doing in Wisconsin for turkey hunting? I went last week and nothing was gobbling or anything. pretty boring the past 3 years now.

I haven't hunted yet, my season starts today so I'll be heading up to Wisconsin Rapids after this class I'm in (so much for paying attention! Senioritis is in full effect and I figure learning about turkey hunting is far more practical than learning about Marketing Management) Anywayyysss....

I was scouting last weekend and they were gobbling their heads off! Off the roost anyhow they were and the first hour or so of light. I heard a hen getting bred and a couple of hens fighting too. They sure seemed active around Rapids at least.

Umm two weeks ago on the youth hunt i took my brother and they gobbled their heads off and i called one in for him and he ended up shooting it. Last week they didn't gobble all that much when i went and called for my dad, the one i ended up calling in for him never gobbled once. I am going to call for my uncle tomorrow, but he went this morning and said he didn't hear any gobble on the roost and only heard a few after they flew down. I will keep you updated and let you know what i hear tomorrow.

I filmed my cousin kill her first turkey a tom in the youth hunt and they were gobbling like crazy that weekend in the roost and on the ground as well. They have been gobbling pretty much every morning and a family friend got a jake this morning as well.
