Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Got one with my bike!

I rigged up my mountain bike to use for turkey hunting this spring. Opening weekend turned out to be a good one! 20# 10 inch beard

I'm not sure I fully understand....Are you hitting them with your bike?!?!?!?

*Note to self: watch out for people hunting on bikes*

No. I cover a lot of ground on the bike. I kill the turkeys with a shotgun.

I welded all the steel together and bolted the rig to the removable seat post rack

Default nice work!

I have thought about doing something like that, but I figured I would have the gun across the handlebars. I like your setup better. Could you post a close-up of your 'rack' without the gun/gear on it?
That would be the perfect deal for our lease in Texas.

The handlebar idea really throws of the handling of the bike. Not to mention if you wreck your gun will be the first to hit the ground. I did a lot of research on this and never found a setup quite like this. You can't even tell the gun/turkey/cooler is behind you due to the weight being right over the back tire. The rack make no noise and is very sturdy. Heck, I trust it enough I put my SBE 2 in it! Here is another pic with the cooler:
