I did it last year with an outfitter. Didn't kill a turkey, but had a lot of close calls.
My advice-get in the best physical shape possible. And don't be afraid to follow the gobblers if they walk away, you may lure one in on persistence alone.

Check the dow web site for turkey location info, start high 8,000-9000 ft.( snow line down)
