Hey NWTF chapter committee members....what is your chapter working on these days? Just curious and would like others to see what the NWTF is doing in some areas during the off-season. My chapter is working on a JAKES event in July, Turkey Hunters Care Program (donating turkeys to needy families for Thanksgiving), a high school scholarship for the ' 03-' 04 school year, and of course the all popular auction/banquet next March.
I took on publicity this year. Last week I started placing news stories and it looks like we were 5 for 5 in the papers I targeted. Our banquet is Aug 23 so its time to get moving. I have also sold tickets to 34 new folks for the banquet. A mix of about 70% non hunter couples and 30% hunters.
Next week we are having a committee meeting so ill know better what we need to get really focused on when we see what we dont have clear direction and answers to!
