Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Rem 11-87 Kicks GT & Win Ext #5's

Been gettin a case of cabin fever, the ol lady's at work. So Im thinking pattern sestion lol

I broke out my old 11-87 SPT with short barrel (I think 21")...

Anyhow I've never shot a heavier than lead load threw my .665 Kick's GT choke. Thought that it might mess it up... Well after reading about people shooting there Hevi shot threw one for the last 2 years. I figured WTH...

I shot one shell at 40 yards at a Primos turkey target... Got 8 hits in the vitals (brain/neck vertabre)... Was not overly impressed with this pattern... Definetly good enough to get the job done at 40 but that would be it... Really no better than what I get with my factory super full and Win HV #5's...

I've done a lot of patterning with a lot of different choke/ shell combo's and every time the Hevi13 #6's with the Indian creek or Jellyhead come out on top... Until somebody can top this combo I'm pretty much done with everything except Hevi13 loads...

I know a lot of people shoot Nitro's and that cool but I'm going to stick with Hevi13... I think there going to be around for awhile
