this was my first year,i was fortunate/lucky and got a bird.most exciting hunt i have had by far.my question is how much more difficult is it to hunt turkeys in the fall.is a ambush or breaking up a flock and calling them back in the bottom line.how many of you hunt in the fall and are sucsessfull?any tips?i have a several hour drive to the turkey woods and dont know if i should commit to a hunt.the problem is i think about hunting turkeys every day and cant wait to get back out there.i do have the fever.

hunting turkeys in the fall is good way to learn more about them and will help u in the spring. If can get em broke up good then its pretty easy to call em back in. Just say what they' re saying. I usually kee kee alot. You can' t really call to much. Turkeys are pretty vocal in fall. After u get one i' d recommend to go back a few laters and call em back in but don' t shoot any. Just listen to them. You' s be surprised at what sounds they can make. Hope this was helpful and good luck.
thanx nate,i know its early for this discussion, but i have a family and love to fish and hunt and have to allocate my time,so i have to think ahead.i cant wait till next spring so i think im going to get out there this fall, whats the worst that can happen,a few beautifull days in the woods.

i learned more about them boogers during last years archery season than i ever have ...wasnt interested in shooting one , so i took chances and called, tested my movement, i basically just screwed around and pushed my luck, but i learned i ended up missing one with my arrow, but i able to get another arrow in my bow, just not another shot, this year i' ll get one
