Default Holy Cr#$ , How Much ????

I finally got around to talking to the taxidermist on how much the bird was going to cost me. $475.00 plus $40.00 for the tree limb![] I think I' ll go back to shooting jakes.

How much have you guys spent on some of the animals you had mounted??

Don,

I had my son' s first turkey (a very nice one--25 1/2 lbs) full body mounted for $350 a few years back. Yours is a great bird, so it is probably well worth the $. But I hope you have a place for it. Ours is a great " dust collector."

$400 sounds about like the going rate out here, worth it for a big bird though. And if ya like I sell you a limb for $20

Sounds like you found a Good Quality Taxidermist
Just remember you get what you pay for more times than not
This is not far off of the going rate

That sounds about right! I think its well worth the money to mount such a trophy. Sure its a little steep in price, but id spend that much on a turkey.

Don

The guy I that is doing my bird from last year charges closer to $500.00. Sure there are a few taxidermist around cheeper but thier work wasn' t as good either.

I' m not sure what the going rate is for a turkey around here. From the other replies I would guess your guy is right in there.

That old saying " you get what you pay for" is never more true than it is with a taxidermist.
