I read somewhere on the Internet that tom turkeys do not have penises. While I have never made it a point to " inspect" any of the toms I' ve harvested, and while I realize this may be a great hoax and I' m the fool for it, are there any wildlife biologists (or other knowledgeable people out there) who know the answer? If it is true that tom turkeys don' t have penises, what do they do to breed receptive females??

If they did I would mount it right next to the spurs and tailfeathers.
" I killed a bird with 2 inch spurs" ! " Oh yea, well mine had a two inch di%$.
How would you score it?
Honestly though, I have never looked. It really is an interesting question.
They have to mate somehow though.[]
