I just recently got a b-mobile. ive read in a magazine that a guide was using motion with his b-mobile to attract a good many gobblers. but it didnt say how he did it? how do i get my b-mobile to move? any suggestions? thanks
Warning - Sub Dominant Toms will stay out of range and shy away! Be very aware of that! IMO - you have a 50-50 chance of the Tom coming in. It is fun to see your decoy get the snot kicked out of him but lately in WI Ole Vern my B-Mobil - with a real Jake fan - is left in the truck - Even my theory of the 4 center feathers being taller than the rest of the fan is a Tom's visual que - well the Good Toms stayed way out of range far too many times - caused me far more harm than good!
And I was not the only 1 as I hunted with 3 other guys - all of which had the same experience.
Movement
Natural wind movement is great - don't tighten the ground stake connection to the decoy tight. Leave it loose - the wind will turn him in circles. I swapped my stake nut out for a nut with a niylon bushing so it would not fall off. this way it stays just as tight as I make it.
The tail - leave that wing nut a bit loose at the wing nut connection too. The wind will flip the tail upa bit and then will fall back down and add some more natural movement. Leave the tail mount too loose and it could blow off - happened to me but then I just gave it a few more turns and it was fine.
