Default odd turkey

been seeing this turkey pretty regular, went up this morn and watched for a spell, here came a normal colored one with this one coming behind, at the edge of the road, the normal one saw me and melted back into the brush, this one strolled out and acted like I wasn't there, I slowly walked up to within 8 yards of her for a pic, even called to her a bit, she gave a couple alarm putts when the camera clicked at 8 steps, I believe she is an albino wild turkey that is blind or about so. what do you guys think.

she may not be blind, they tend to stick around without a care in the world when they have poults or a nest near by....I always get pretty close to them when they have babies or nests....I just hate hearing she may be blind, so I'm trying to think of something, lol.
She is beautiful......do you think she is an escapee from a near by farm ?

couldn't swear to it, but the legs are just too pink to be domestic, and there are no farms closeby which raise turkeys, and besides she's small, 7 pounds tops, a domestic white turkey is much larger.
I have read that all albinos are suseptable to become blind for some reason.

Since she wasn't scared i would assume domestic,

But you never can tell with white turkeys. Is their a norm to what is considered albino?

I would say she's probably a domestic gone free....

I've seen photos of albino wild turkeys and they have white mottled in with their wild coloration.....usually

Cool. But not the fact she may be blind. I agree with huntma I've drove up on a hen and her poults just fedding around and she didn't even putt. We could have caught one of the poults. All she did was cluck a few times to gather 'em up and she led them away.

Also Dad killed an opposite to that a year ago. He killed a melanistic. You know that an alibno has no pigment but a melanistic has to much. He was black as a crow. We Have easterns but his wings were like oceolas, blak wings with white bars. God has made some funny things in this world.

I would say she is too small to be a domestic hen. Domestic hens are so big that toms cannot breed them, and you have to AI them.
