Here's a pic of the 1st bird of the 2009 season. Was hunting with a good friend of mine and heard three sound off very early. Got set-up and was hoping to call at least one in to me. As luck would have it, I ticked off a hen and she barked all the way in with her Tom in tow!!! I was using a Custom box call made by Jerry Zebro (aka: Turkey Addict) and his box call mimicked that hen to a "T"!!! Stats: 18.8 lbs., 9" beard, 7/8" spurs.
What a rush talking to that hen.......Best of luck to everyone still after them!!
You mean Maytom is still alive? What happened to Mr. Longbeard? I guess those pushoverpublic birds are driving him crazy. Congrats Maytom, glad to see your alive and kicking.
