Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Its official I am moving to North Carolina

I got the word this week that I' ll be in Wilmington, North Carolina starting June 1. I know that hunting isn' t that great in the general area, but hopefully I can get on some birds within an hours drive or so. I wish for great hunting, but only ask that I at least be able to chase these birds wherever I live. Any North Carolina hunters around? I would be happy to hear about any honey holes. J/K!

Welcome to the Carolinas
Not familiar with your area but you will be close enough to SC to get on some birds.

SC is full of them.

Get ready to hunt some thick woods, but there are a few birds around. I live about 1hr 15min north of Wilm just east of I-40, the population in this area is growing and should only get better in the future, some local areas have only been open 3yrs. My hunting partner and I still have a lot to learn 2 yrs experience, but I think we' re addicted.I called him a jake in last year 0 for me (bow only so far for me) This year he called in ang got a nice bird,I took 15lb,5 1/2in,1/2 bird with my bow,he took one about the same with gun last week. e-mail me mobley@safedataisp.net I' ll try to help if I can

But hated missing the last wk of NY turkey season, so thought maybe try find time bag one down there. But was closed that week!
