Default New Turkey Hunter

Hey all, I am going to start turkey hunting next spring. My boss got me very interested in turkeys and I decided to give them a shot next year. Please give me some tips and pointers on how to hunt this wonderful bird. Thanks all.[:-]

It is a wonderful sport. I suggest you read through the posts on this web site. Get or rent a couple turkey hunting videos to get some ideas of the gameplan.

Check out these websites:
http://www.turkeyhuntingsecrets.com/...y/libindex.htm
http://www.nwtf.org/

That should be enough to get you well on your way. I have gotten worlds of information from the folks on this hunting forum---but it is best to ask specific questions. Get some basic knowledge and folks are more than willing to help you out.

Good luck!!

Bowhunter_82, if you hang around this place for the next year, you will learn about everything you could possibly want to know about turkey hunting. Like Sour01 said, just gain a little basic knowledge and then fire away with the questions......good answers from experienced hunters will follow! Welcome to the flock!

Don' t do it man, when you get one your hooked for life into an endless pit of going all the time and buying all the calls. Best drug around you' ll be hooked for sure

Actually the best thing I found was to ask the guys here as many questions as possible, they' ll get you up to speed quick, I know they helped me a great deal this year. Good luck I know your gonna love it the first time you get a gobbler to respond to your calling!
