Well went up last Thursday to hunt and no luck. It was really warm..about 75 degrees. I had one gobble back late Friday evening but it appears they were all hened up. Not interested. No one I saw got one so another year goes by. Same thing last year. I don't know if it is the warmer weather that gets them going sooner or what. A few years ago it was cooler and you could get them to come in pretty easy. Someone told me that since they are hened up that maybe the last few days would be better. He said once the hens lay thier clutch the Gobbler goes looking again.
Anyone else know about that?
Hope everyone else is having a good season.

There are two gobbling peaks - one before the hens become receptive to the gobbler and another peak after breeding when the either won't come to him or leave him soon after flydown. The second peak can be a very good time to hunt in my experience
