Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default season over

well,it has been a long season and chasing the two amigos was tough.i had several chances to take the birds but it just was not to be easy.either, they would not gobble, the cows would chase them out of the pasture on the way to me or i did not take the shot when i should have or etc,etc etc.they rarely, were separated and both strutted and gobbled with the hens until late in the season.i took the first bird 3-18 and it was a typical two year old on COE land with 9" beard and 3/4" spurs.the first amigo was a double beard 9" and 3" with a little over 1" spurs and fell 4-13.the second amigo or the 'ol man' was 11 1/4" if you measure the longest single strand or 10" for the normal beard with 1.25"+ spurs and fell 4-20.i won't talk about the misses or birds i called up and should have taken. like the one that after three hours on the opposite side of a creek that finally, decided to come across where i was standing at port arms 10" away.or the 'ol man' coming 400 yards across a pasture gobbling every step the second week and i shot out of range rather than waiting for him to get on top of me.being a type 'a' person even with years of hard mistakes reminding me not to do things i do anyway, makes getting older that much worse.to cap it all off, this stupid dial up drives me crazy resizing, uploading and host sites to get pics on a forum.
