Seeking Rio Grande Turkey, public land or a hunt worth the travel and expense.

Well...there's the obvious place...Texas. Kansas and Nebraska have good number of Rios from what I understand. Oregon, especially around Roseburg, has 'em. If you're up for a bit of a trip, we've got some good Rio's on the Big Island.

I'm sure I left quite a few places out, but it's a list to start. Check www.nwtf.org There's a map with the ranges of the different sub-species.

If you want a better than average chance at a Rio, go to Texas. You will be glad you did.
