On hard hunted ground everyone uses a crow call and they lose their effectiveness. My favorite locator is a coyote howler, off-beat but highly effective.

I like crow calls, but PBB has a good point. That' s why I carry a few locators with me. Owl, crow, coyote, hawk, and sometimes I' ll cut real hard on a box call or tube call.

i use differn' t ones for the reasons already posted....

Owl, Crow, Hawk, Pileated woodpecker, yote and if desperate a peacock. If I had to choose only one though it would be crow.

I like the crow and the gobble shaker, or a really loud box call

I carry a Primos Power Crow, an H.S. Strut Reed Owl Hooter, and sometimes a Bill Austin coyote howler. I probably use the Power Crow the most, have had pretty good luck at times with it and the thing is LOUD!

Here in south Ar, the owl call works best in the early mornin, and the crow call mid to late mornin.
