rem 870 and rem hevi-shot

have a rem 870 super mag and ventilator choke,picked up rem hevi-shot 3 1/2 #6,s.anybody tried this combination?the literature states this combo does well.i actually was trying to order some nitros,but they were so busy i could not get through,the cost is a factor for sure.i know on the website they claim vicious rumors are being spred that you cannot shoot these rounds out of a lead choke.i ask some veteran turkey hunters and they shake their head,pretty much saying dont bother kid,you dont need them to kill a turkey,just shoot straight.i know this subject is getting beat up,but after all i have read,im still in question.

I don' t know i think the Ventilator choke might be a little to tight for the load you mentioned. All i can say is try it and see how it patterns.

I have an 870 Super Mag, I have not shot any Rem. Hevi-Shot thru it but I have shot Nitro' s 4x5x7' s thru it and it is awsome. Put 243 shot in an 8 1/2" x11" piece of paper at 40 yards. The targets are posted on here titled " Winchester vs. Nitro.
