Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Season Dates

Hi all,
I hate doing this but i need the information. I am an avid hunter living in Russia, and fly to the U.S. for business commonly. So, I would like to incorporate a hunt into some of my trips. Please, tell me the approximate hunting season dates forturkey for the different regions of the U.S./Canada. I've tried looking for the information, but the DNR websites for each state are very confusing and i'm just looking for general dates.

Thanks,
Zhenya

You have to apply for ours during the summer. Sorry, but a no go in Michigan. I'm sure others will chime in about their states.

Hunting turkeys with a rifle is generally considered unethical here, although a few states allow it. I'm in Missouri, our spring seasonbegins the 3rd week in April and runs for 3 weeks. Fall season runs the entire month of October. There are numerous outfitters who would be glad to guide you.

There are very few states that a rifle can be used. However in all states a shotgun can be used.

And to help you find a spot to hunt in just about any state you may do business in - use this link from the National Wild Turkey Federation. Click on just about any state once you have it open and it will tell you all about that given state's Fall turkey hutning opportunities.......
