Default is it easy?

is it pretty easy to make a box call at home? i read in a mag that says they are the best sounding boxes, and me having nothing to do while im waiting the snow out is wanting to make a nice box. thanks for everything. who_else

It' s not too hard once you put your mind to it. I have 2 that I made from solid blocks of cherry and one from butternut. I don' t know how others round off the paddle, but I did mine with a coarse file and then sandpaper (not to mention some sweat!).

They' re not as sweet as most, but they do ok...and they' re MINE. LOL.

do you have atleast a table saw to work with?? if not id really like to know how your going about this...i dont have a table saw so i thought it was impossible unless maybe take out wood from the center of a block of wood and make a lid....but that would be hard i think....thanx...good luck...if you ahve a table saw its fairly easy....
