Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I too have a Remington 870 Express 12GA (but mines a lefty version). I don' t have a Ventilator choke, but a cheap $19.95 Wally World Star Dot X-Full choke. My 870 likes the Winchester Supreme 3" High Velocity 1-3/4oz. #5 shot. It patterned really great.

Mine shoots about anything pretty decent except it won' t shoot #4 shot very well in any load. I like the Nitros the best then Winchester Supreme and then Federal Premiums. The Nitros out do anything I have ever shot, I know they are a little high but I feel its some of the best money I have ever spent on turkey hunting.

My setup (Ventilator + 870) does not like #4' s as well either. I was averaging just under 5 hits in the vitals at 40 yards with the 3 major brands.

The gun patterns best with Remington 3" #5' s (2 ounce).
