Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Nitro success

The Nitro-Rhino combo did the trick this morning. I called in two mature birds while I was hunting with my father this morning. He counted down to call the shot so we could take both birds. He counted down, we shot and one flew off. His whole load went into a tree about 10 feet in front of him. It was a great hunt and would have been our first double. My bird had a 9 1/2" beard and sharp 1" spurs. He was probably a 3 year old gobbler. He weighed about 16 or 17 pounds. You' ve gotta love those light Osceolas.

I' m jealous[X(]. Our season in NY doesn' t start until May 1st!. But I' ve been driving around glassing fields, as farmers are just capable of spreading fresh manure, and the birds are all over it. Seen several nice toms in my areas, and gained permission to another recently.

No pictures (digital anyway). That is still on my " to get" list. I just got back form a real quick trip to SC. I thought I might be able to get 2 birds in 2 states in one day or possibly two. I actually went up to buy a car for my wife so the hunts were very
short. But, what a shame, we have to go back next weekend to have the dealer install an accessory. I' m sure the dealer 45 mins. from my house couldn' t do the job nearly as well.
