Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Made the ol trip to Wally World tonight...

Well, you see, I realized earlier today that my hunting license expires next week. So I went down to Wal-Mart and bought the combo hunting/fishing license for $35.50. It feels like I just bought my last one yesterday...I can remember details of the day too. To think that it was about a year ago. Just shows me how much time flies. While I was back at sporting goods I also picked up the Feather Flex Love Triangle. It' s got an agressive jake, a passive jake, and a 3-position hen. They look good, hopefully I' ll be able to put them to good use.

And oh yes, got up this morning, and went out doing some pre-season scouting. Me and Garen heard some gobbles. Hopefully we can get back on em in a few weeks and put some lead in his head. Got me excited...I' m beginning to feel some fever!

FroMan,

I know the feeling about the license thing. That used to be me until I finally got an extra grand and bought the $1000 Lifetime License. Now when I get ready to go hunting or fishing I just go. I also don' t have to buy the AR duck stamps, don' t have to pay for special permit hunts, nor buy permits for leased lands areas. It' s a pretty cool deal and I recommend it. Also, I may be moving to [:' (] Texas in a year or so and the license is still as good as it is right now.

I like to wait until the season is about over when Wal-Mart starts marking things way down. I need more calls and gear like I need another hole in my head, but hey, a bargin is a bargin! LOL. [:-]

Froman

It just goes to show you that once you are in wally world they got ya. Sure you went in just to renew your licence but since you were already there they sucked you in to their little game. LOL. I went out yesterday morning but didn' t hear anything. It was pretty chilly and really foggy. I did see lots of sign though and it was not only in the national forest but also on my private ground. Only 3 more weeks!!!!

From what I can tell, most of the Wally World' s about 95% of the hunting gear away until August in my area. They' re pretty worthless even during turkey season in this area.

Our local Wal-Mart always has a good selection of turkey hunting paraphernalia. It might have something to do with the guy that manages the sporting goods dept. though......he is a turkey hunter also!
