Heading to South Carolina this weekend

I leave on Sunday for South Carolina. I haven' t been getting great reports on bird activity, but it beats doing anything else.

My main objective will be trying to help my dad get a bird this week. This is his first turkey trip so it should be a great time no matter what!

The weather has been unseasonably cool.
Usually all in green by now but starting to warm up.

Good luck. I' ll be doing the same for my dad on April 12th for our shotgun opener. I was successful 2 years ago at getting him a bird in less than 45 minutes but I' m hoping to get him a bigger bird this year.

Man i know that' s right!!! I' m going out Monday and see what i can make happen. Bo, i don' t think the weather could be any worse. Saturday is suppose to be the worst of it, clearing Sunday and getting back to normal Monday and Tuesday. I wish you luck despite the weather. Bring your poncho and hunt the openings; fields, logging decks, powerline right-of-ways if they are available to you. Man i hope your dad gets one.
