Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default A good hatch, at last!!!

After 3 or 4 years of unsuccessful hatches, this Spring has been a success. I was working on my property this past weekend and saw a wonderful sight, no, not a giant whitetail, but a turkey hen with 7 or 8 poults. What a sight for sore eyes. What' even better, my land neighbor, who lives up there, said he has seen several broods this Spring-Summer in the area. He said we had a geat hatch this year. This is great news for the future. I just had to express my excitement. Only 8 1/2 months left til opening day.

Default RE: A good hatch, at last!!!

We didn't do to bad. All was not lost but it was not excellent by no means. We had some terrible flooding at the end of May and pretty much the whole month of June. Now that I think about it more we may be in trouble next year. 2006 was probably the best hatch that I have ever seen. We were completely covered up with 2 yr. old birds every where we went this spring.
