Default Sick with a Cold ?

How many of you practice with mouth calls when your down and out with a cold.
I' ve been calling a few comp' s and one coming up, and I just came down with a real bruser Cold. I sure do not feel like even practicing at all with a mouth call. Then anything I use is in the garbage, Boy I hope I didn' t get this from my good calls. can you practice with a cold?...BT

BT, I' ve been doing it this week. Feels like my eyballs are going to pop out and ... oh my... the head aches from pounding on that diaphram. I do not recommend it, but I am determined to get better by this season. Sit back and enjoy a bowl of turkey soup and get better my friend.

Take the strongest cold medicine you can find. Practice during the period when the
medicine first starts to clear you up right up until you pass out.[&:]
Get some rest. You dont need the practice anyway.

i' ve had a sinus infection for about two weeks now. Practicing is killing me but I' m trying. Left you a message over at Freddy' s in regards to a new call I got. Went and bought one of those Hecklin' Hens green latex calls last night. Darn multi reed calls are going have to wait until later today though [&o]

bad time to have a cold![&o].

make sure you wash you calls in something listerene,or you will be putting the bug right back into your mouth.

wait a couple weeks, and you' ll be over it and ready to go.you don' t need all that pratice anyway.

BT, when I' ve got a bad cold like the one you' ve got, I don' t feel like doing anything, let alone practicing calling. It is all I can do to drag my butt out of bed to go to work on days like that! Better to get those colds out of your system now than when turkey season rolls around!

If you' re like most turkey hunters, you probably have your " favorite" mouth calls and some that don' t quite sound right. Practice with the calls you won' t likely use in the woods anyway. After each practice session, soak them in and 50/50 solution of plain water and mouthwash. After a half hour or so, rinse them good and allow them to dry before placing them back in their case. Doing this has allowed me to keep from re-infecting myself daily when I wasn' t feeling well.

WHOOOAA BT Sounds like you got the TURKEY VOODOO HEX put on ya. I think the only known cure for that is to miss a minimum of two weekends of chasing long beards. That means you cant even watch it on TV. hehe Hope ya get to feelin better... COMEON !
