Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Newbie question

This will be my first year hunting. I' m planning spring turkey hunts and want to hunt upland birds and waterfowl in the fall. In all of my reading or videos on the subject, the one bit of information I have not been able to find is: how do you humanely finish a wounded bird?

Default RE: Newbie question

With the upland birds you can wring their neck. With the turkey you may have to use a second shot (if he is not hurt that bad) or you can step on his neck (just be cautious of those spurs) if he is not mobile.
