Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Mad Max Turkey Choke

I bought a Mad Max turkey choke today. It says that it' s designed for lead shot only. I usually shoot a Remington Turkey load that' s copper plated lead. Anybody know if it' s ok to shoot this through the Max Max choke? It is lead, but it' ' s copper plated.

Any advice would be appreciated.

All turkey loads with lead shot are copper plated. Your tube was designed to shoot any lead turkey load. Just don' t shoot steel shot through it. I suspect Hevi-shot would be out too.

I put the same choke on my Benelli three years ago and shoot copper plated 4s with a really tight pattern at 30 yards. Good choke.

Thanks. I just bought a Benelli Nova yesterday and bought the mad max Turkey choke to go with it. I' ve heard good things about Benelli and know a few guys that have them. I grew up shooting Remington' s, so this is a change for me.

Hey longbeard-What was that a jab on a foreign gun? Like those citoris made in ***an? Or about half of that F-150 I' m drivin? That Benelli is a sweet shooting gun and is tough to beat. Lots of geese and ducks in crap weather and never a jam. Always some cracker a$$ that thinks he' s more American than others. They need to add one of those little hand signs with the middle finger up. Good hunting.
