Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Hoping to get some gear information...

I posted earlier in the WTB section, but I feel information will serve me just as well.

My grandpa is nearing his 70th birthday and is an avid turkey hunter. He mentioned, in passing, that he was interested in getting some "headnets" (I believe is what he called them) from his younger years. Now, for him, his younger years at before 60

I found a picture of an item similiar to what he was talking about and am just hoping you guys have some more information on these mesh headnets and what they are used for and/or could point me in the right direction to buy some.

Thanks

Thanks for the help JW!

I kinda imagined thats what they were for, but I believe the last time one of the ones I'm looking for was made was back in the early 1990's.
The Cabela's of the world won't have them anymore as far as I can tell.

and neither did any of the other sports supply house I knew about. It appears that is not a full head net but a net to just coverr the face. There are several listed on the links I gave you. I prefer just a face mask and not a full head net. My favorite at this point is just a flat panel - has a piece of lead to form to the nose bridge and is held in place with elastic. It is black fabric on the back and at times when I am in my black interior of my blind I turn it around.

or

I do use this too on hot days

Thanks Mr.Gobbler.

This looks very similiar: http://www.wingsupply.com/shop/images/9917614.jpg

Like I said, these would be for looks and nostalgia only.
I doubt my pop wants to use old technology when he goes to get his bird.

Hopefully I'll find some soon enough.

Anyone else happen to have some more info on locating one of these?

I've checked all the Mom and Pop joints in my area and have turned up nothing [:@]
