Default how do I identify gobblers from hens at far!

Hello, I am very new to turkeys, as we have never had them in northern MN before but in the last couple years they are really starting to show up now. My question is I know by the beard and the fan and gobbling of course the toms and jakes but at farther away how do identify the hens from gobblers.

Some hens can have beards. This is not very common, but does occur. Some guys on the fourm here have seen them before...

The head is the main giveaway....hens have have blueish grayheads withfeathers going practically onto their head and the gobblers will have a white/red/blue head and his neck feathers go to about mid neck and stop......

Get some binos, I have a $20 pair of tascos I got from wal-mart. All you need is a pair strong enough to see the head. Of course red head would bea gobbler, hen are always just grayish.
