Default I missed a turkey. Will he gobble again?

I missed a long beard this morning. How long will it take until he starts gobblin again and responds to calls(hours, days, weeks)?

He should in a day or so.Unless you peppered him, it might be a while.

It all depends on the particular gobbler. If it was a clean miss, he may be back at it again tomorrow. Then again, he may not gobble for several days or more. More than likely, if it was a clean miss, he will be back gobbling in a day or two. It also depends how much the bird has been pressured. If you aren't the only one hunting him, he may not gobble for a long time and probably won't come to your calls. Some shot at or pressured birds just don't get killed. You may want to give him a day or two before going after him again though. Good luck getting him, you'll need it. Now you are hunting an educated bird.

A lot less time than you would think.

If you dusted him most likely a few days if not a season, but if you missed it could be that day. I had 3 longbeards and 3 jakes come in to my setup the other morning, I shot the biggest bird, when I shot the rest of the birds all gobbled and stood around and continued to gobble for an hour before leaving. I wonder if becsue the shot is so loud that sometimes they seem to not be affected. He will be there, good luck
