Default fall season tips

i know everyone is still pumped up about the spring season, but i'm looking for some info about fall turkey hunting. i've got access to about 80 acres of private land here in CO that backs up to several thousand acres of BLM. my owner said its not packed with birds but he has seem them on several occasions. thats good enough for me. unfortunatly i missed out on this spring season, but i would like to hunt the land asap, which would mean this fall. the only problem is i know nothing about fall turkey hunting. i've done plenty of spring hunts and have a pretty good handle on that, but never a fall hunt. i was wondering if anyone could give me a basic run down of how to approach fall turkey hunting? thanks!

Lovett Williams - a CD titled Real Turkeys III has great fall calling tips as you listen to real turkey voices. I highly recommend it.

I don't use calls or decoys in the fall, I set up main routes and ambush hunt them.

I have ninja sneaked and whacked a few. Did that on a flock that had 3 deer feeding along with them. Then once I busted up the flock sat there about 40 minutes and called in the second bird.

I have busted up flocks late evening - seems to be the best for me - and then Kee-Kee'd one or two back.

I have also sat well known areas and waited them out and tok one or two as they walked by.

I still like spring best as fall there are far too many other birds to chase with my dogs.

Oh and we will have a fall contest.

I also only blast hens in the fall, I let my gobblers walk.... There are so many hens here I would rather eat them and even things up a bit and leave my gobblers to get big in the spring time!!!!
