Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Bearded Lady

Been hunting birds for 8 years and got my first bearded hen. Called in 4 longbeards and she was the only hen with them. 12 yard shot with my gramps Browning A5 he bought in 1920 when he got married. Had the gun for sometime just scared to shoot it due to the wood stalk. Put a synthetic stalk on it and made the first hunt with it a good 1. Her beard was 8 inches on the dot.

Congrats on your bearded hen! I had one come in about 20 steps this Spring, but we can't shoot bearded hens in Alabama ... she was fun to watch - she stayed around for a while, yelping and cutting - looking for that hen she kept hearing (me) *L*.
