Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Indian Creek Turkey Choke

Just called and placed an order for the Indian Creek Turkey Choke (.675) for my Mossberg 835. I was doing alot of research, and they seem to be the best bet, not that the other choke tubes out there are bad, just that the Indian Creek seems to be the best fit for me, they told me to use HeviShot 13, 3.5", 2-1/4oz., #5 or #6shot,I won't use it this year, cause I just don't have time to pattern it, I will finish off the season with what I'm using now.

You're gonna really like that combo! My friend uses an IC choke that is .660 and shoots the 3.5" Hevi-13 #6's and together, they throw a pattern that rivals my Nitro 4x5x7/Jelly Head .660 combo. I would say that your choke, with the.675, would be a better hunting combo in that the pattern wouldn't be so tight at say 20 yards. A few weeks ago I called a nice bird in for my friend and he had 2 clean misses at 10 yards. The one you have should be just about perfect for reasonable hunting ranges. Enjoy that combo because it's one of the best going! Simp

Simp, when I called IC the guy said that the .675 is the tighest one should use in the 835 cause the barrel is overbored, other type of barrels .665 is what one would want. So he went on to say that with that HeviShot 13 ammo, at 40 yards I should have 92%-95% of the shot in a 10" circle, so hopefully that holds water

An absolutely amazing choke! I've been blown away by just how much they improved our T/C Pro Hunter and our Benelli SBE II ! The shots are amazingly tight and the pellet counts are unlike anything I've ever seen from shotguns! CONGRATS on a great purchase! Good luck and good huntin'
