Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default First time caller

Never turkey hunted before and just picked up a couple diaphragms realizing that there are hundreds (it seems) of different reeds you can get with them. I have a double V it seems now. I picked up on the call right away (although it sounds nothing like I want it to), but I'm happy that I have legitimate noise coming out of it without drooling or gagging. My question is, what is the double v used for the most and what is the most common cut you guys use? Thanks.

i like to keep it simple with a double or triple. if i'm goin to use a cut i like the splitV III from HS Strut.

Cane Creek Tuff Man.. which is 3 reeds with a diamond cut i think..
And Primos 3 reed diamond cut.. Both produce fairly raspy but good sounding calls.. and both are fairly easy to use..
