Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Roost Question?

I hunted our opener on saturday and got close to the birds on the roost. Vocal on the roost and then nothing on the ground. I can't hunt next weekend but will be back at it in 2 weeks. Will these birds roost in the same general area? I sure hope because that is like one of our few spots.

Default RE: Roost Question?

More than likley if no one pushes them away ...........now be aware you need to understand the breeding pattern. What I found once they hi the ground they followed hens in strutt the whole time and had lock jaw. One could get a shock gobble but it was rare - here in Wisc and upper Mich they are not even close to breeding.......at least not in my areas. Am still seeing good sized groups of hens......and bachelor flocks of good toms.
