On my third morning out, after seeing 3 toms and about a dozen jakes and hens the first 2 mornings, I got skunked! I didn't see or hear a thing. I thought I had the henned up toms patterned and was sitting in the prime spot waiting because they won't come to a call, they just gobble. The wind was blowing 25 and gusting to 40. I packed it up at 9:30 and went home had some coffee and took a nap. Guess that's why its called hunting and not killing.
I hate the wind!
