Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Making Calls

I'm thinking about cutting some different species of trees into short pieces to use experimenting in making some turkey calls. I want to try beech, cherry, chinaberry, blue beech, poplar, paulonia, mimosa, persimmon, titi, maybe some fruitwoodsand any other kind of unusual treeI can find in the woods. I also have a friend that has a couple of shipping containers of South American hardwood I can get some sample pieces of also. I was wondering if anybody else had tried this, just as a hobby and to maybe get somegood, different sounding box calls? Maybe there are some online sites that deal with this?
