Do they make .410 turkey shells?
A family friend of mine and his kid are going to start turkey hunting. The kid is pretty small and he cant take a lot of kick from guns, so he shoots a .410. They asked me if they made turkey loads for .410s and I couldnt find any and figured they didnt make them. Does anyone know of any .410 turkey shells or what he could use for that gun? Thanks

Back when I used a .410 (geez, it's been over a decade...) I had some 3" heavy game loads in #4. I was deadly on paper out to 20 yards, but never got a chance at a bird. I doubt there's a turkey-specific load, but NY/Al's got the right idea.

Yeah thats kinda what I told them. I said find the heaviest they can find and dont shoot past 20 yards. I told them I hardly shoot past 20 yards and I shoot a 3.5" magnum, so it shouldnt be a problem. Thanks guys.

I actually just got done talking to him about his sons gun. He said he'll be using #6 shot and already bought the shells. Told him to get at the most within 20 yards.
